The most famous of the Three Musketeers is a reference to the Gascon vines, now more than 1,600 years old. They cover over half of Gers, and extend to areas bordering the Hautes-Pyrenees, Pyrenees Atlantiques, Landes and Lot-et-Garonne. There are five appellations: Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Côtes de Gascogne, Saint Mont, Armagnac and Floc de Gascogne.
A land of plenty, Gers is full of delicious products born of a long peasant tradition. Côtes de Gascogne wines are fresh, light and fruity. In the heart of its bright valleys, traditional villages and festive events perpetuate a different way of life.
